Veterans-Day-2014
Members of the American Legion Post #344 will observe Veteran’s Day November 11 at Veterans Park in Horseshoe Bend.
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. We hope that all citizens will join us in honoring the men and women who served their country in uniform.
The American Legion, making its 95th year in service to God and Country, was formed by Veterans after World War I to promote American ideals and to ensure that families of their fallen comrades would be cared for.
Today the American Legion continues to fight for health and education benefits for this nation’s Veterans. The Legion also sponsors programs that benefit Americas youth, such as American Legion Boys and Girls State, American Legion Baseball, the National High School Oratorical Contest and Scouting programs. The American Legion is involved and making a difference around the world and right here in Horseshe Bend. American Legion Post #344 is proud to be a part of this community.
