Trunk or Treat will be held on Friday, October 31 at lower Diamond B Mall. Set up is at 5 p.m. in front of the Horseshoe Bend Area Chamber of Commerce office. Judges will circulate among the trunks and choose first, second and third place. Trophies will be awarded to the three placed trunks and everyone competes together, no commercial or organizational categories. You do not have to decorate your trunk to come park at the lower mall and give out candy. Be sure to be parked at 4:30 p.m.
Following the trunk judging, around 5:30 p.m., the Parade of Costumes will begin. This year they are trying to simplify the process and finish earlier so that everyone can get to trick or treating. There is no pre-registration. Instead of meeting in the Theatre, weather-permitting, they will line up on the left-side of the gazebo. Spectators and parents please bring your own chair.
The Haunted House will be held Tuesday through Friday, October 28 through 31. Extended hours will be on Thursday and Friday, 6 to 9 p.m. Every other night hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. This event just keeps getting bigger and better, rumor is that they’ve recruited some wicked pirates! Volunteers are needed and very much appreciated. For more information, please call Paula Rivera at 670-4536.
