Billy Brabon, of Oxford, has been racing the dirt oval track at North Central Arkansas Speedway, located in Yellville, every Friday night for nine weeks straight. “I’m having the time of my life,” stated Brabon, the life-long self-proclaimed racing fanatic.

This is Brabon’s first season racing. He has placed third three times, and recently placed second in the Hornet Division. When Brabon began racing, he tried a couple different dirt tracks. Once he raced at NCAS he has come back every week since. “I really like the track here and the people that run this place are great,” said Brabon.

The racing season at NCAS runs from April through October every Friday night. Admission is $10 adults, $8 seniors and military, and a family pack for $20 that includes two adults and all the kids you can bring. Kids 14 and under are free. Gates open at 6 p.m. and races begin at 8 p.m.

Brabon would like to thank his sponsors: Oxford Super Stop, S&L Automotive Fabrics of Melbourne, and the Chatterbox Café of Oxford.
