Many of us are affected by cancer in some way or another. For one local family, cancer has wreaked havoc for a decade.
Salem resident Charolete Williams’ journey began at the tender age of 14 when she was diagnosed with cancer in her leg. Since then, she has fought and won her battle with cancer four times. Charolete has had to endure having her right lung removed, and most recently her leg was amputated.
During this decade long battle, Charolete and her family have suffered financial hardships due to loss of income and ever-growing medical bills. Friends of Charolete have rallied around to show their support with fundraisers.
Jade Lowrie, a Younique consultant is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from an online makeup party to Charolete. Younique is a family-founded company supporting battered women and children.
